Keen to visit Norway and start leading on ice, I saw an advert on UKClimbing for Northern Alpine Guides, a Norwegian guiding company run by Andreas Spak. The ice conditions were superb and I learnt a lot my week there. Conditions weren't ideal for good photography, but I still got some nice shots towards the end of the course, when we were joined by Aine and Simon from Ireland. Most of the gallery was taken with my Canon IXUS 860 IS compact camera (confusingly this is exactly the same model as my old Canon SD870 IS!)
