This gallery records the 5th and 6th ever ascents of the compelling gritstone roof crack, Ray's Roof (E7 6c) at Baldstones in the Western Peak. Pete Whittaker (still only 17 years old) and Tom Randall both led the route within half an hour of each other. As we were packing up to go to the pub, the rain stopped and the sun finally came out! Despite the gloom, I managed to get some nice shots of their brilliant achievement.
