On a Winter mountaineering trip to Scotland earlier this year, we had the genius plan of walking the Ballachulish Horseshoe as a 'rest day' activity... Over 7 hrs later we'd certainly stretched the legs on terrain that was grade I in places, and feasted our eyes on some breathtakingly beautiful views.
