Camera gear: dSLR sensor cleaning

I think people really exaggerate the problem of dust on the sensors of digital cameras, or perhaps they don't take much care when changing their lenses? I routinely change my lenses outdoors in dirty/windy environments and I had my Canon 20D for over 18 months before I got some visible dust on the sensor.
Looking around at different sensor cleaning systems, the quickest, cheapest and easiest is a large 'blower' that seems very effective and only costs £7-£8 !
